Official Sunday Fun Raid Themes

Here is a list of all workable SFR themes. When it's time to vote for next week's theme, check this list!

Generally speaking, every week, the Sunday Fun Raid (SFR) is selected via a poll voted upon by the whole outfit. Three options are presented, and the one that wins is the primary theme for the night. Sometimes the themes complement each other well enough that we are able to run multiple themes in a single night. Also, should one of the other options get a large amount of support, the SFR team may decide to use that as next week's theme without putting a poll up. Anyone in the outfit may suggest new SFR themes or request that a certain theme be added to the poll (before the poll goes up).

Please only vote in an SFR Poll if you are reasonably sure you can attend and are willing to attend even if your choice doesn't win.

  1. ARMORED ADVANCE / BOMB CARTS - Usually we use vehicles to escort soldiers; well today, it shall be the soldiers escorting the vehicles! Teams consists of a Sunderer and a few infantry escorts rolling across the battlefield to victory. If your infantry allows your vehicle to die, you lose! Get the "bomb cart" (Sunderer) to the enemy's base and detonate to win!
  2. ATV ASSAULT (BIKER GANG) - Attach a weapon to your Flash and find a friendly Heavy for your rumble seat. Swarm tactics at their best.
  3. CHICAGO GANGSTERS - Pistols, Tommy-guns, and drive-bys.
  4. CONVOY NIGHT (BATTLE BUSES) - An armor column of Sunderers. We pull as many Sunderers as possible, with drivers and gunners only. Let's see the enemy respond to a Convoy of Death.
  5. DISCO PARTY / DANGER, HIGH VOLTAGE - ZOE MAXes, Lashers, and Lancers. It's a disco party...DANGER, HIGH VOLTAGE.
  6. DON'T TAP OUT! (MEDIC NIGHT) - Everyone brings out their medic, don't you DARE think about clicking the respawn button. The idea here is that if everyone's a medic, we don't need a hard spawn. We'll sprinkle in a few Engineers for ammo.
  7. EWOK'S REVENGE - We load up in Galaxies and go hunting for armor all night. With plenty of Heavy Assaults, we'll head out to cleanse Auraxis of enemy armored units, forever reminding them that even the tiny Ewoks were able to topple the mighty AT-STs.
  8. FLIGHT OF THE BUMBLEBEES - Light Assault night, a Planetside 2 favorite. Everything's better with jump jets.
  9. GALAXY GUNSHIPS - The Galaxy is Planetside's signature dropship transport. GOTR has made it into a strong assault and suppression vehicle - tonight, we load up in Gunships. A basic "Gunship" setup is Walker turrets on the dorsal and tailgun, and Bulldogs on the wings.
  10. HIDE-N-SEEK - We head off to a small continent or battle island to be broken into two groups. Each group will have equal turns hunting the others down. We will try bases and possibly larger areas to hide in. Neither side will be in the same platoon, so you WILL have to go looking for each other, and cloakers WILL be allowed. Once the round starts though, the hiders CAN NOT MOVE. After each side gets three turns as hunters in, we tally up and see which teem successfully hide the longest.
  11. HOLD THE HIGH GROUND - We find a large mountain, rock formation, or hill and set up a "no anything zone", killing everything blue or red that's in sight. Bring your AV kits and MAXes!
  12. HUNTING THE PURPLE WUMPUS- What happens when GOTR doesn't wear purple armor? That's right, it's Anti-VS night! We all go NC or TR for the night and crush our usual allies. Anything that is Purple, during this SFR, will be targeted and destroyed.
  13. LIB BOMBARDMENT - Good ol' death from above, with maybe a few A2A Scythes as escorts. We shall pick a target ahead of the zerg and leave nothing intact, paving the way for their conquest. Let's make our enemies run in fear, as we hear them scream "The sky is falling!!!".
  14. LIGHTNING STORM - Lightnings, the one-man-army's vehicle of choice. Except there will be more than one of us. A LOT more than one of us.
  15. MAGRIDER MADNESS / MAGFEST - They're big, mobil, manueverable and thanks to our Vanu lords, they fire in a straight line. The Magrider is a main stay of the VS arsenal, and this is where we help to prove it. We start the night off pairing up and setting up wispers. We spen the rest of the night dispatching fear and panic in our enemies. This event calls for ONLY Magriders with the exception of Lodestars to keep us repaired and stocked up on the battlefield.
  16. NIGHT OF A THOUSAND BITES - [Video] For the snipers out there. We get a few well placed AMSs up around our targeted base. Everyone with a sniper rifle (and when necessary, Lancers) sets up on the hillsides and begins our reign of terror. With luck and determination, we'll be able to keep the enemy inside WITHOUT any armor elements involved.
  17. ONE LIFE WITH A KNIFE - A melee-only event! We find a correctly-sized fight in the woods or mountains and equip stalker cloaks, then kill as many enemies as we can with only our knives. You get one life (per round) - whoever kills the most in their one life wins the round!
  18. OPERATION HONEYPOT - Squads mount into Sunderer transports with handheld AV and AA weapons. We try to attract enemy armor that think we're an easy kill, then non-gunners bail from the bus and dispatch the would-be attackers.
  19. OPERATION STEEL RAIN - From the epic cut-scene in the Warhammer 40k Dawn of War RTS game. The enemy is at our door! We know our duty and we will do it. Most of our brothers are stationed in SPESS, prepared to Deep Strike (via HART Drop Pods). The Codex Astartes has codenamed this maneuver "Steel Rain" - we will descend upon the enemy, we will overwhelm them, we will leave none alive! If we die this day we die in glory, but we shall not die, it is the enemy that will taste death and defeat. WE ARE THE SPACE MARINES - WE ARE THE EMPEROR'S FURY!
  20. PJC MEMORIAL PISTOL NIGHT / GUNSLINGERS - This is in honor of one of our fallen brothers, PJC. For the entire SFR, we shall use Pistols and sidearms only (rockets are fine to kill MAXes and vehicles).
  21. PROTECT THE LEADER - [Video] Escort the GotR VIP in three phases, air, armor, and infantry zerg, to wherever the VIP wants to go for his photo op, but whatever you don't let him die before you do - else everyone must suicide and start over from the warp gate for the next phase. A chance to spam and taunt the enemy into assassinating our leader as he's escorted in Wind Wraiths One, or Phantom Guard One, or as he gets out and takes a surprise jog through an enemy base. Made even more fun if everyone grabs their robocpfXXX character to make the task more difficult for dedicated assassin alts.
  22. REVOLUTIONARY WAR - Ready! Aim! Fire! Grab your scout rifles (or other semi-auto rifle) and don't fire until you see the whites of their eyes. This event is about olde school combat. Lining up and firing in volleys. This is a team based event.
  23. RICK JAMES NIGHT - MAXs, MAXs everywhere, but hopefully a few support staff as well. We load up with about 85% of us with uni-MAX, the rest in a support role. MAX people have a name of RickJamesXXof100 where XX is a number. Support people, form up a character with RickJamesBischesXXof100 where XX is a number. Truly a sight to behold~ (This cannot be requested, only held by decree from the outfit leader.)
  24. SAVING PRIVATE ROBO - The highest ranking officers online have been tasked with a secret mission by VS Command. They are stranded without supplies or comms behind enemy lines. It is your mission to get them home safely! No air allowed. You start with Sunderers, and each rescue unlocks more equipment. 1 - Mag/Lightning, 2 - Flash, 3 - Harasser, 4 - One Scythe
  25. SHOOTING STAR - Everyone equips a Heavy loadout with a dumbfire launcher of some kind. The default S1 or a Lancer is recommended. We'll use them for everything, AI, AA, and AV. No rifles will be used tonight!
  26. SCYTHE CITY - Everyone hops into a Scythe for the night. We go out to harass the enemy and see if they're prepared for a sky of air flying around.
  27. TEST SERVER GRIEF EXTRAVAGANZA - [

  28. THIRD WHEEL - Grief defined. We find the biggest TR/NC fights we can (but without VS) and insert ourselves by gal drop, sunderer or flash. Lather, rinse, repeat.
  29. TOWER OF DEATH / CANDY MOUNTAIN - Find a tower and fortify it. This tower becomes our base of operation for the night. If we need to move towers to find the fight, we will; but otherwise, time to dig in!
  30. TROUBLE IN ENGINEERING! - Everyone goes Engineer for the night. The name of the game is tank mines, prox mines, MANA turrets, and AV turrets. We'll set up camp on a hillside with an AMS and some AA and proceed to blow up everything in the area.
  31. WACKY RACES - We're going to race! THROUGH ALL OF THE ENEMY TERRITORY. First to the enemy gate wins! We'll be picking specific vehicles to keep it fair. Flashes, harassers, scythe "run circles round the biolab" races, 3-legged medic or light assault races, and more.
  32. WARPGATE DENIAL - With no hexes nearby, we move to an enemy hex and pull out AMSes and loads of AA and AV. Then, BLOCKADE THE GATE!
  33. WREAK HAVOC - Ever wondered what it would be like if small teams of GOTR infiltrators stopped the enemy from pulling any vehicles at all from any nearby base? Dream big!
