
F.E.A.R. - Fallen Elite Armored Regiment
FEAR: enough said.
We are the air and armoured division of Ghosts of the Revolution. We have multiple roles within the division. We are the first to assault an enemy base, clearing dropzones and downing turrets for our infantry to drop and do battle safely. We establish and maintain air superiority over the entire area of engagement. We then go on Combat Air or Ground Patrol, taking on any enemy. We are capable of adapting to any battle quickly, with a variety of vehicles at our disposal.
FEAR is made up of three units in order to maximize effectiveness:
- Phantom Guard - Ground vehicles, especially Magriders, Lightnings and Harassers. PG is the unit for the heavy hitting ground pilots and gunners. You use the biggest, strongest vehicles our faction has to offer in order to destroy any target and suppress any location. PG owns the open battlefield.
- Wind Wraiths - Air Superiority by any means necessary. Scythes and Liberators are our primary tools, with AA MAXes, Skyguards and other ground-based AA as backup. We use them to remove enemy air threats, protect the other divisions while airborne (for instance, a DA drop ship) and to annihilate enemy ground units.
- Vengeance - Valkyrie-based anti-vehicular squad. C4 and rapid respawn helps dispatch AMSes, enemy tanks and other vehicular targets. Raids as part of the Wind Wraiths platoon, in its own channel.
As a FEAR member you can move between the first two units any time you want, with no approval necessary. Vengeance is a limited enrolment group; threads are posted on the forum when slots are open, watch for these.
Other unofficial designations in FEAR include:
- SABRE - Not a true subdivision, more of an occasional volunteer opportunity. Members of SABRE are ready to dismount and engage the enemy on foot, away from their vehicles when called upon. They are the reserves - if the infantry and special ops teams need a few extra good men and women, they call in SABRE.
- FOB - our Forward Operating Base for the Wind Wraiths, and FEAR's secret sauce. They act as full-time pit stop engineers with their ammo bus and AA capability, keeping our pilots in the air longer. Combat got you down? Chill with the FOB any week.
