Haven't read yet, suggestion go with a less harsh color than red, some line spacing and bold and colon is enough, like so.

A2A: air to air

Had to point this out as red is the worst color to have txt in as it is stress full on the eyes and is also the most common form of color blindness.

I only think that global mods / admins can do that.

i will edit the hell out of the format, the red text is because the bulk of this so far was ripped DIRECTLY out of the PS2 glossary on their forums. i will reformat it including text colour when i have the time to go line by line. Also yes it WILL be an article.... it can actually be elevated to an article anytime, i just gotta kick someone to do it, and i want it a little more fleshed out first.

PLEASE KEEP BRINGING ME MORE TERMS/ABBREVIATIONS

ASL - Air Superiority Liberator aka chaingun liberator with CAS30 and Walker - for direct confrontation with enemy air

Link to comment

considering ASL, more format updates to come, and someone nudge a mod to make this an article please

For things that are tactics, put those in the playbook (which I need to update) i.e. Honeypot.

Perhaps, include them, but just give a link to their section in the playbook?  If this is intended as a go-to "wtf does this mean?" article, it seems like it would be good to have listed.

Skyguard - Lightning with AA Skyguard turret.

Galaxy is more refered to as "Gal" then anything didn't see Gal in the definition.

Proposed Changes:

When you introduce an abbreviation (within a paragraph), write the whole word and put the abbreviation in parenthesis. This is an Advance Mobile Station (AMS).  The AMS is the most powerful vehicle in the game.

A2G, Air to Ground: Weapons that fire from an aircraft designed primarily for ground targets

A2A, Air to Air: Weapons that fire from an aircraft designed primarily for airborne targets

- Replace the tweenspeak 2 with t.

Cap, Capture Point: The areas of a base that must be held to capture the base.

- Cap is what you do at a capture point.  "We'll cap the point as soon as we can."  "Need troops on all the control points/CPs."

Recommend being consistent with either showing the shortened version first, or the full version first.  Suggest putting the short version first, chances are they looking for the meaning of CP, not Capture Point.  Pick a way and stick with it.

Certification Points, Certs: Used to sidegrade into additional skills, vehicles, and weapons. Earned with experience.
Heavy Assault, HA: An infantry class devoted to distance suppression and anti-vehicle counters.
Gunship Galaxy, GG: A galaxy equipped for direct confrontation with he enemy.
Infiltrator, Infil: An infantry class known as a cloaker and sniper.
Liberator, Lib: A three seat fighter gunship/bomber useful primarily for ground strafing.
Light Assault, LA: An infantry class noted for its mobility and use of Jump Jets
Magrider, Mag: A Vanu Sovereignty two seat tank known for its ability to hover.
Mosquito, Mossie, Mossy: The Terran Republic’s single seat fighter aircraft.
Sunderer, Sundy: A 12 seat ground transport. Also often used as an AMS (Advanced Mobile Station).
Warpgate, WG: The home base of any Empire on each continent.

- You have all of the classes labeled as infantry.  That would be meaningful if there were non-infantry classes, so it's redundant.  Try infantry classes: HA, LA, MAX and Infil.  Support classes: Medic and Engie.

ESF, Empire Specific Fighter: Referring to each Empire’s unique air fighter.

- Redundant.  All of the fighters are empire specific.  There are zero (0) common pool fighters.  We can call them Reaver, Mossie and Scythe, or just fighters.

Mosquito, Mossie, Mossy: The Terran Republic’s single seat fighter aircraft.
Reaver: The New Conglomerate’s single seat fighter aircraft.
Scythe: The Vanu Sovereignty’s single seat fighter aircraft.

- All of the fighters are single seat.  Liberators and Galaxies are not fighters.  A lib is more like an AC130 or Hind than an F16.  F117 is mislabeled as a fighter to get around treaty limitations on bombers.

Change it or leave it.  i'm not going to follow the thread either way.  It's all yours.  This is what *i* think will make it better.
