Hello Ghosts!

A quick announcement to everyone to decrease any confusion about the new ranks.
Firstly, the old "1000 outfit points and you'll never be kicked" policy is still in effect.

The "Ghost General" rank has been removed after much consideration for a number of reasons. Firstly, it takes up an entire rank (with officer privileges) just for long-standing members and some ex-DCs. While we hope that in PS:N the ranking system will be more customizable and we can bring back an in-game Honor Rank, for now we need that slot. Here on the forums we will continue to use the term Ghost General as it's very much a part of GotR. No Ghost General has lost their veteran status, we promise - we just need the rank spot, for now.

We have moved the "Shade Colonel" position up to where General was. Command Staff Ghost Generals like LocoCoyote and 3AC have this position, as do all division XOs. In the vacant space, we have added the "Shade Major" rank, which is all ROs and TOs, along with any miscellaneous officers and non-Command Staff Ghost Generals, such as EmyLightsaber, PatG1, and lomshiveck. These ghosts have proven themselves worthy of the Ghost General title and retain the power to invite to the outfit, but are not current active Command Staff. (Again, hopefully in PS:N we will be given a more customizable rank system.)

Shadow Captain and below (the ranks most people reading this have) were not changed except to rename "Shadow Sergeant" to "Ghost Sergeant". This is to further distinguish officers by having the "Shade" prefix and enlisted members by having the "Ghost" prefix. Also, as requested by many members, we now have set criteria for promotions. See below.

1 - [Outfit Leader] - The current OL picks his own rank name. KRAB was the "Grim Reaper", for instance

2 - Division Commander - The four leaders of our four divisions, you know who they are.

3 - Shade Colonel - Division XOs and other Command Staff (formerly Ghost Generals).

4 - Shade Major - Division ROs and TOs and non-Command Staff officers (formerly Ghost Generals).

5 - Shadow Captain - Members that go above and beyond their duties as Ghosts, especially those that recruit, lead ops, are active on the forums, and help to make the outfit better will be recognized by being promoted to Shadow Captain. This is the fast track to the officer ranks. Some will be content to stay a Captain, but others will move forward. These are the members that will become the next Command Staff.

6 - Ghost Sergeant - Once the member has been a Ghost Corporal for 30 days AND has accumulated at least 10,000 outfit points, they are promoted to Sergeant. Suffice it to say, once you get to Sergeant, you've proven you're a GotR member for the long haul. The time period is marked 30 days from your first post on the forums.

7 - Ghost Corporal - Once the recruit has gotten on Mumble, registered/posted on the forums, chosen a division, and attended at least two GotR ops, they are promoted to Corporal.

8 - Zombie/Inactive - The new recruit rank. Also, any member who has gone inactive for more than 30 days is automatically moved here. Former ranks will be reinstated upon return in most cases.
